This sucks!!

I am about 40 miles west of where Rita is to make landfall, which means my small town of Port Lavaca just might become non-existing.

I am going to go to Houston, which I may have to sneak in if they start closing access to some areas of town, to be with my Mother, sister and bil.

I am having a hard time getting what I feel is important to take with me, it’s as I keep watching the reports hoping to see that Rita has moved farther away from me and knowing it’s a waste of time.

I just will leave what happens to me as just another bump in life and continue to live and not whine about it as it won’t make me feel any better.

When you are an old fart at 67 , you have seen a lot of misery in your life and even had bad things happen to you and you just keep on going and not looking back.

I will give an update next week on what has happened……..

    Thanks Sam, I am almost done packing the stuff I am taking. I may just leave tonight in case they want to stop people from my direction from going in to Houston….

    One thing people, that you should know New Orleans , the homes and buildings were not damaged, it was Mississippi and Alabama.

    They have move land fall to about 25 miles to the east of me and when I get back I may have to use GPS to find my home as every thing is going to be cut down just like a new mown lawn..

    God help those who are not leaving the Texas costal counties between here and Houston.
