12:03 pm:
The jury in the Andrea Yates trial has returned a verdict of “one crazy bitch“.

If it was Rusty who was on trial he would have been found guilty and given the needle as he could not say it was a “drepression” that made him do it… damn double standards

Well, If Rusty had the kids himself he could have had post partum depression. Don’t presume to think you understand what a woman goes through. I don’t excuse her at all. She needs to have the appropriate punishment for her crime, but come on, he’s guilty too. He lived with her and from his own mouth said she was ill. He should at the least gotten endangering a child by neglect. He neglected to protect them from her and left them alone all day everyday with her.

She should have been sentenced to life in hell. Guilty:twisted:

The Hell she will be sentenced to is the full realization of what she’s done, if she ever regains the mental capacity to do so. And if she is “faking it”, she must be a genius to have faked mental illness for most of her life, just so she could “get away with” this most horrific of acts.

Rusty, her husband, should shoulder more of the blame in this. He had to have known that she was under stress, yet he didn’t seek care for her–tho he did have someone coming to stay with her every day. But no medical care. Because that would have been admitting to everyone in his insular little congregation that his life and family weren’t perfect.

There would be living children today, if Andrea’s depressio had been medically addressed.

Is she guilty of killing her children? yes.

Will she be punished? She is being punished. If she did this with malice, and never repents, then she will endure the punishment forever.

“The guilt she has to live with”. Waaafuckingwaaa. I understand that she will have to live with guilt for the rest of her life, but for the rest of us, they would give the fucking gas chanber. Living with gult is NOT enough punishment for MURDERING your children. Plenty of people live with depression, and I am not belittling it, but they DO live with it and deal with it on a daily basis.
