Army Draftee Retires After 40 Years of Service
Robert Rangel was a college student trying to “fly below the radar” when his draft number came up in 1967.
“I got caught,” he said with a wide smile.
Caught, as it turns out, for 40 years.
Rangel’s years in the Army included more than 200 parachute jumps with a special forces unit in Vietnam and Cambodia, time in battle zones, a firsthand view of the crumbling of the Berlin Wall and a tour in the first Gulf War.

Let me tell you that no matter how bad you feel you life is don’t go and do this., simply just talk to someone no matter who…
Man , this bugs me a lot, here was a guy that seemed to be doing things half right, as his children and parents were in his life which is about all any one could want…
Chatroom users ‘egged on father to kill himself live on webcam’
Kevin Whitrick, 42, took his life after being goaded by dozens of chatroom users from across the world who initially believed he was play acting.
But as they watched in horror, Mr Whitrick climbed onto a chair, smashed through a ceiling and then hanged himself with a piece of rope.
