This review of a MSM program nails exactly whats wrong with their programming today.
But that’s certainly not the only travesty I witnessed this week. Over on “The Bachelor,” good old Brad Womack endured being scrutinized by four different families as he tried to decide who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with (or at least a few months, or however long it takes for the couple to keep the charade going before people move on to caring about something else and they can just go ahead and break up).
.
Note: I have never watched this program, as the whole concept of finding someone and falling in love with them in such a short time has shown that they fail and breakup…
I have been there a couple of times and speak from experience…

If you are in the neighborhood tonight stop by, we can have a little nip…
You Are A Vampire
|

You have a real thirst for bliss, and you consider yourself a true hedonist.
And you’re not afraid to walk alone in life, if it means getting what you truly crave.
You truly enjoy entrancing people. Not to mention the ensuing pleasures of the flesh.
Your tastes have been called decadent and bizarre. You usually give in to your temptations, no matter how primal
Your greatest power: Your flawless ability to seduce and charm
Your greatest weakness: Human flesh
You play well with: Werewolves

I drove to Victoria last friday and saw this new sign posted along US 87.

After I finished my business and returned to Podunk, I stopped at Buc-Eee’s for a coke, and when I was returning to my vehicle a small group of people of spanish descent approached me and asked if I could help them.
Being a nice guy I asked what kinda help, and their translator replied “we need green cards to stay here“, I mulled the situation over a minute and then boldly said “I can get all of you green cards for $95.00 per card“. This brought a look of relief to all their faces and they said how soon can we get the cards to which I replied I have then in my vehicle and can get them now if paid.
The practically threw their money at me and so I went and got their 9 green cards, and then drove over to my bank to make a deposit of my windfall…

well I have made the trip over to the dark side…
I, at my advanced age, have gone and bought a pod, not just any pod but the “Touch“…
I got it for one and only one reason, wifi, so I don’t have to lug the laptop when flying…
Of course I got my music on it…

(note: I am not one to expose my self to one and all, but to explain how I feel I am gonna have to let you see another side of me.)
I went to Norman Oklahoma on the 17th to see my son off to Iraq, this was the 4th time that I have watched him go to serve his country. The 1st time was at Ft Leonard Wood in Missouri when he completed his basic training in 1986 and 6 months later he was in Germany, then after he was discharged from the Army he joined the Oklahoma National Guard in June of 1990. The 2nd time I said goodbye was when he was sent to Bosnia, then 3rd was to Afghanistan.
This time it was harder on me than I expected, in the past my demeanor was ala John Wayne and not one bit wimpy.
It started when my ex and I were waiting for our daughter, sil and boys to park and catch up before entering, her cell rang and she started telling someone where we were at and would see them in a few minutes. After she hung up I asked who was that and she replied Jackie and that she and her daughter Michelle came to show their support, I asked “Jackie” and thats when I first cracked and tears ran down my cheeks and I sounded like I could not speak english at all. We have known Jackie for over 40 years and she is like family even though we don’t stay in contact that much but she has known my son all of his life and had not seen him in the last 25 years.
When we got inside it was a sight to behold as there we just a few vacant seats to be found. The Lloyd Noble Arena seats 10 to 12,000 but it was filled to over flowing with people standing 3 to 5 deep around walk way and they were told to move a room where they could watch from there but it was filled up also.
In the photo on the left the first group is the color guard , the second line represents the battalions, the 4 men just behind them are re-enactors showing WW2, the the colorful ones show the Indian Tribes that have served in the history of the 45th.

My son is in there somewhere…

I hope if they do this next October when they return that none of the seats are vacant with soldiers lost.

I think he will miss his Harley and Missy (his Blue Healer Dog) more than the rest of us.
They are by now at Ft Bliss near El Paso for training they leave in January for Iraq.
After the festivities the 11 of us went out and ate steaks and drank a bunch of suds and the girls had wine.
