bad/good week
February 28th, 2008Boy this has been a week, last sunday I stopped at my banks ATM to get a quick $40 to go eat and have next weeks walking around money.
This starts the bad part…
I entered my pin and pushed the “Fast Cash” button, then the machine thought about my request and tried to do something by flashing some message on the screen for about 10 seconds and then spit out a receipt that said *VOID* , Withdrawal Door Status or Can’.
So I reinserted my card with pin and checked my balance and I had more money than Bill Gates…
So I repeated the same request for a quick $40 and got the same result as the first attempt.
Time of 1st request: 15:32:11
Time of 2nd request: 15:33:16
After I got home I did a quick check of my account online and it showed 2 $40 withdrawals.
Monday I went to the bank with receipts and talked to one of the New Accounts people, she explained that the person who handled the ATM stuff was out to lunch. So she made copies of my receipts and said to wait till Wednesday and see if the 2 said debits were gone.
So off I went yesterday with my receipts and explained that the problem still existed, then she got her supervisor and with their howto in hand they printed out a contested charge form with date , time and amount. I signed it and was told I would hear from them with their decision, I said if you think I am trying to rip the band off for $80 just check the video and you will see that I never had my hands on any money at anytime. As of 10:25 PM today the charges was still there.
The good news:
Around 9:30 tonight my son called me from Iraq, and had a good chat as I haven’t talked to him for almost a month. He is located in northern Iraq near the area where the Kurds are located. He said that they were in temp quarters, but even when they moved it would be a lot better than the tents they lived in when he was in Afghanistan. In a couple of weeks he will get access to the internet and then we can communicate by email.
He sounded like he was in good spirits and was glad to finally starting doing what they were sent there for…

what do I do
February 28th, 2008I guess that I don’t have that many readers who come without a search referral , the reason is that I have had very few responses to my Laptop Give Away…
I left a comment on Rachel Lucas that my blog was like a “Cloaked” Romulan Bird-of-Prey , nobody sees it…
Her post had a poll on how old were her visitors and needless to say when I voted I was the oldest person who had voted where the majority of her readers were under 40. I guess that I don’t have all that much in common with the average blogger…
Makes a person wonder if the effort in blogging is worth it…

Consider that when your Congressman or Senator comes up for reelection…

a little help please
February 27th, 2008I personally sometimes have to wait while this site loads and if writing a post it takes a longtime for it to complete…
Leave me a comment on how slow or fast it loads for you and if it is every time of just at random occurrence…
I ask this to see just where the problem lies and get it fixed so it loads fast…

The 2 idiots above are proof that the “I am self centered” generation exists…
“I think they were just discriminating against because we were young decent-looking girls. Who knows, they could have been just jealous of us because we were younger.”
Now when reading this statement, I wonder just how the guy in the bathroom knew exactly who was knocking on the door, guess he knew it had to be someone pretty and important.
At one point, Williams had to use the plane’s bathroom. She saw another passenger in it, and when he hadn’t come out 15 minutes later, she knocked on the door.
When he came out, Williams says the man came over to her seat and yelled a profanity at her. Williams admits she yelled a profanity back at him but was puzzled when she says the flight crew only questioned her.
The best part of this is the results of their actions:
Williams and Swedberg say they were banned from all future Southwest Airlines flights, including their scheduled flight home to Tampa.
