attendance by phone
Well the annual gathering at the SWG (Straight White Guy) compound has come and gone with out any arrests or calls for Police or EMS service. I did hear that Homeland Security called and made some inquiries…
When I attended by phone I conversed with the Lord and Master of said compound and we reminisced about a few things we both share. My second talkup was with the Senoir Elderly Brother and discussed the effects of aging.
The highlight came when I spent some time with this Wonder Woman of south Florida. We chatted about kids, physical fitness and I told her that I had made her and her family as my adopted daughter replacement family as I like reading about her and the boys adventures along with the reports of her parents and sisters goings on. This was nice as we didn’t chat much back in 2006 at the 1st Blownstar blog meet held in Austin.
One thing that makes me frustrated is that my health has gone down hill since the Blownstar gathering in Kerrville last year. I have an advanced case of emphysema and my ability to do much walking is limited to around 50 yards and then pausing to stabilize my breathing and then repeating the process. So this keeps me from traveling long distances and getting around when I get there.
So from now on I will attend the next blog meet by phone just like I did this time, unless if there is one close by and just maybe I can get my neighbor to drag me there, which I am sure she would…
