I was talking with my sister and we got on the subject of the obvious hate towards the republican party in general from the democrats. She asked when did it begin and why, so my answer to her was it begin

With the impeachment of Bill Clinton for what the dems thought was a trivial motive.

That was the beginning of the decent into BDR and coining of the phrase “Vast Rightwing Conspiracy“.

Then there was the “Stolen” election that took away the Presidency from Al Gore.

Then came the “Swift Boating” of John Kerry by a PAC.

Now we see the attacks, not from the Obama staff but from his followers who will stoop to do any thing to discredit McCain or Palin , and not just limiting the attacks to the candidates but also their family members.

One prime example of their mood is what happened to Joe Wurzelbacher after his encounter with Obama and asking a simple question that none of the moderators from any of the debates had the courage to ask. His background was checked by state and local officials that had no reason what so ever as he posed a threat to Obama, as that’s the job of the Secret Service, not some fool who thinks they are above the law.

Here are a couple of examples of authority abused for political purposes.

Example #1:

Helen Jones-Kelly (click for photo), director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services authorized a background check based on the following logic.
Jones-Kelley said she approved a check to determine if he was current on any ordered child-support payments.
What was Jones-Kelley’s probable cause? She claims that sudden public notoriety is enough to generate an investigation of someone’s status.

Example #2:

The Toledo Police Department announced that a records clerk improperly pulled Wurzelbacher’s information on behalf of a reporter for a Toledo television station the day after the Oct. 15 presidential debate.

The clerk has been charged with gross misconduct and faces a disciplinary hearing, said Chief Michael Navarre. He declined to identify the TV station but said the reporter confirmed asking for a check on Wurzelbacher’s address.

I worked for a PD as their system analyst along with writing their software for maintaining records of crime and arrests along with our Municipal Court System, all officers and records clerks had access to all the data, except where a juvenile was involved they were allowed to only view the traffic violations and none of their criminal history. There were only 4 people who had access to that data which was our Juvenile Officer, City Prosecutor, Municipal Court Judge and yours truly.

If I had released any info on a juvenile, even to a Police Officer, that would have got me terminated in a New York minute. I am waiting to see what happens to the 2 people mentioned above, if any thing.

The Donkey Party will not rest until they have reduced the Elephant Party to rank along with the Green Party, Libertarian Party and all others.

I think the Democratic Party should change their motto to “The end justifies the means”
